The Harsh Realities and Personal Growth of One Year in Business

The Harsh Realities and Personal Growth of One Year in Business

On July 15 2020, one year ago, I officially launched my Self-Empowerment Coaching practice. In this episode, I’m commemorating this milestone by sharing my thoughts and feelings about my first year in business.

This year has come with a lot of harsh realities that I’m still navigating now (maybe even more so than ever). I’ve never wanted to hide or gloss over the more difficult parts of life, so in the episode I share honestly about some of the struggles I’ve gone through since launching my coaching practice, including feelings of hopelessness and shame, going through tough experiences with my mental health, and facing some rough self-doubt, self-criticism, and low self-worth.

But of course, this past year has also come with some amazing benefits. One of the most powerful benefits of this journey has been the personal growth I’ve experienced, and in the episode, I talk about how this growth has allowed me to become more myself than I’ve ever felt before.

I also talk about how everything that happened in the past year has impacted how I treat my business and live my life now, and how I’m choosing to move forward into the future.

To give this milestone the appreciation it deserves, I really wanted to create space to both honour the harsh realities and celebrate the personal growth of my first year in business. I feel like I’ve done that in this episode, and as always, I hope hearing my story helps you feel less alone and more sure of yourself in yours.
